RYAN RZEPINSKI BECOMES FIRST COLT SINCE 2006 TO BE NAMED ALL-AMERICAN
Middlesex College sophomore pitcher Ryan Rzepinski had a dominant 2025 season and has reaped the benefits with some incredible accolades.
At the conclusion of the season, Rzepinski was voted the Region 19 Pitcher of the Year, becoming the first Colts pitcher to receive that honor.
Two weeks later, he received an even higher accolade when he was named NJCAA Division III Second Team All-American.
Rzepinski is the first NJCAA All-American since 2006 for Middlesex College. Rzepinski was voted as the #2 sophomore pitcher in the country and was one of just three sophomore pitchers to be named First or Second Team All-American.
The 6'7" righty earned those honors after a dominating season in which he was the top strikeout pitcher in the country on the Division III level. He was one of just two pitchers on the Division III level to reach 100 strikeouts on the season He led the country among qualified pitchers with an incomprehensible 15.52 strikeouts per nine innings. Rzepinski reached double digit strikeouts in six of his 11 starts including a 13-strikeout performance in just five innings against Lakeland CC.
Rzepinski's best start of the season came against Region 19 champion Brookdale CC, who finished ranked #3 in the country. In that game, he pitched a complete game three-hitter while striking out 10, leading the Colts to a crucial 4-2 win.
He finished the season with a 6-2 record with 100 strikeouts in 58 innings pitched.
The last NJCAA All-Americans for the Colts came in 2006 when teammates Jeffrey Toth and Daniel Sorg were named 1st and 3rd Team All-Americans, respectively.
