MIDDLESEX COLLEGE ENDS FIRST HALF OF SEASON WITH 99-81 WIN OVER DEL TECH
Savion Pressley matched his season-high with 25 points on the strength of five three-pointers as Middlesex College wrapped up the 2023 portion of their schedule with a 99-81 win over Delaware Tech CC.
Sean Williams (Freshman/Old Bridge, NJ) added 17 points as Middlesex moved to 10-6 on the season.
The Colts got off to a hot start against Delaware Tech (3-11), building a double digit lead in the game's first ten minutes. Williams grabbed a steal and breakaway layup with 30 seconds left in the half to give Middlesex a 16-point lead that they would carry into halftime.
Middlesex maintained a wide margin throughout the second half, leading by as much as 22 points on their way to the decisive victory.
Noah Taylor (Freshman/Colonia, NJ) had a fantastic game off the bench for the Colts. In 25 minutes, the forward scored a career-high 13 points and added seven rebounds.
Williams led Middlesex with five assists and joined with Jahmere Glover (Sophomore/Irvington, NJ) to pace the Colts with nine rebounds each.
The Colts will be on a break over the holidays and will return to action when they will face Hostos CC in a home contest on January 9. Tipoff is set for 7:00PM.
