PEARYER PACES MIDDLESEX PAST KINGSBOROUGH CC 142-66

Jayden Pearyer scored a game-high 22 points off the bench and Hyshon Cannon came within one rebound and one assist of a triple-double as Middlesex College Men's Basketball topped Kingsborough CC 142-66.

The win was the fifth in the past seven games for the Colts (9-7) and this was the first time they topped 110 points in regulation since a 119-91 win over Atlantic Cape on January 25, 2020. No Middlesex College Men's Basketball team has reached 120 points in a game in records dating back to 2014, let alone 140.

Middlesex had a 67-33 lead at halftime and outscored Kingsborough 75-33 in the second half.

Pearyer notched his career-high 22 points on 9-15 shooting, including 3-6 on three-pointers in just 18 minutes of play.

Jalen James added 20 points for the Colts and Cannon paced the team with 9 assists and 9 rebounds in addition to 15 points.

Joel Cineus had 9 rebounds in just 16 minutes for Middlesex and Wander Figueroa had seven rebounds off the bench.

Amir Abdullah (17), Nicholas Barnes (14), Damien Downes (13), Hashim Nadir (12) and Zahmir Pringle (10) each reached double-digits in scoring as Head Coach Winston Smith had all 12 players on the roster see at least 12 minutes of floor time.

The Colts shot 57-92 from the floor and were 17-34 from three-point range. They outrebounded Kingsborough 58-24.

 Middlesex returns to action on Wednesday when they tale on Monroe University's JV team for a 6PM home game.
