Joseph Ubil is an experienced & awarded Golf Professional, Coach, Instructor, Educator, Fitness Trainer and Club Fitter in all aspects of the golf industry.

Coach Ubil is a graduate of Madison HS (NJ), a graduate of Morris County College (NJ) with an AS in Finance & holds a BA in Marketing/Administration from Columbia College, Chicago, Ill.

After years of working as a media consultant & then managing his own marketing firm, he followed his passion for golf into a full-time career in 2006. However, during those years he still devoted his personal time to coaching golf, basketball, baseball & sports fitness at different levels & various organizations.

In 2009 he became an Assistant Golf Professional at the Plainfield West 9 Golf Club, which is owned by the private Plainfield Country Club in Edison, NJ.

He then entered the First Tee Coaches Certification Program and earned designation as the Lead Master Coach of the First Tee of Met NY at the Plainfield West 9 GC Chapter. First Tee is a Golf & Life Skills Educational Youth Development program sponsored in part by the PGA & LPGA Tours of America.

He has also has served as Head Coach/Captain of the PGA-Junior League Golf & PGA “U17” Golf Team Programs at the Plainfield West 9 GC.

Coach Ubil also the coordinates the Bill Castner-PGA West 9 GC Summer Golf Academy as Manager & Head of Instruction-Lead Coach.

During the winter he conducts as Lead Instructor, the First Tee/Castner-PGA Golf Academy Winter Indoor Training & Fitness Programs at the Wilf Family Golf & Learning Center in Edison, training various Middlesex County Area High Schools, including South Plainfield, Metuchen, J.P. Stevens, Sayreville & others.

He was also a founding Golf Coach of the Barack Obama Green Charter High School in Plainfield-the first NJ State Charter HS to offer a varsity golf program.
