MIDDLESEX MENS VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS PASSAIC IN CONSECUTIVE GAMES

Due to match that was rescheduled due to weather, the Middlesex College Men's Volleyball team found themselves facing off against Passaic County College twice in a span of three days.

The result of each match ended the same, which was great news for the Colts.

Middlesex College topped Passaic CC 3-0 at home on March 11, then duplicated the feat by sweeping the Panthers on their home court two days later on March 13.

Middlesex moved to 5-6 on the season with the win.

At the home match, the Colts were able to pull out two incredibly close sets on their way to a sweep.

The most thrilling set of the night was the first one as Middlesex pulled out a 30-28 victory. The Panthers had set-point three times, but the Colts rallied each time to secure the win. Middlesex won an equally close second set, 28-26 before taking the third 25-20.

When the Colts traveled to Passaic to play, they faced more of the same. Middlesex took the first set 25-20 and then took the second set 26-24. For the third time in six sets, Middlesex topped Passaic 25-20 in the third for the sweep.

The Men's Volleyball season is reaching the home stretch with just two more weeks of competition. The Colts return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Atlantic Cape CC for a 6:00PM match. They return home Thursday when they take on Mount Saint Vincent at 6:00PM.
