LORENC SETS RECORD WITH 46 ASSISTS IN MENS VOLLEYBALL WIN OVER BROOKDALE
Kevin Lorenc set a school record with 46 assists in one match as Middlesex College Men's Volleyball won for the fifth time in their past six games, defeating Brookdale CC 3-1.
The Colts are now 6-3 on the season.
Brookdale took a close first set 26-24, but Middlesex rallied to win the next three sets to claim victory.
Middlesex won the second and third sets easily by scores of 25-17 and 25-13 and then pulled out a close 25-21 fourth set for the clincher.
In addition to Lorenc's fantastic performance, Middlesex was led by Cristofer Agurto (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ) who had 26 digs and Justin Zapata (Freshman/North Brunswick, NJ) who led the way with 18 kills.
Lorenc's 46th assist came on the final point of the match, a kill from Adrian Navedo (Sophomore/Woodbridge, NJ).
Middlesex returns to action Wednesday when they face off against Manhattan CC. Tipoff is set for 6:00PM.
