Lady Colts drop 2 to the Titans in Home Opener

The Lady Colts hosted a softball DH for the first time since 2018, dropping both games to traditional JC power CC of Morris by scores of 7-4 and 6-4.

The Colts jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first inning in game one on a 3-run HR by Jessica Freeman. Abby Jason contributed a double and a sac fly, and Kaitlynne McCarthy and Chloe Oblepias combined to allow 4 earned runs on the mound.

The second game ended with the bases loaded and the tying run on second base as the Colts fought back from being down 4-0. Julie Davis and Kaitlynne McCarthy collected doubles among their two hits, with McCarthy also contributing two RBIS. Jennah Schiraldo and Jessica Freeman both had a hit and an RBI. McCarthy and Chloe Oblepias once again combined on the mound for the Colts, who are back in action on Saturday at Northampton.
