LADY COLTS ARE SWEPT BY BROOKDALE IN EDISON

The Lady Colts outhit Brookdale 12-6, but left 9 runners on base, including the tying and winning runs on second and third base, as the game ended on an infield out. Jessica Freeman (Carteret H.S.) paced the offense with a 4 hit game, which included a double and RBI. McCarthy and Madison Buttitta (J.F. Kennedy H.S.) both had 2 hits and an RBI.

The Lady Colts fell behind early and never recovered in dropping a 12-2 decision in the nightcap. Alyssa Dima (Manville H.S.) and Chloe Oblepias (Carteret H.S.) split the game on the mound, allowing a total of 5 earned runs as the defense committed 5 errors. Angelina Amato (Piscataway H.S.) recorded the first hit of her college career in the fourth inning. Jessica Freeman and Kaitlynne McCarthy added RBIs, and Julie Davis (South Plainfield H.S.) contributed a double.
