SCHIRALDO, MCCARTHY NAMED GSAC PLAYER AND PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Lincroft, NJ - The Garden Athletic Conference has announced the Division III Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week for the week ending on April 3rd. Middlesex College sophomore catcher Jennah Schiraldo notched the player of the week honors after hitting .786 on a week in which the Blue Colts swept Lehigh Carbon Community College, 8-0, 14-5 and Camden County College, 11-1, 5-1. Schiraldo recorded 11 hits, eight scored runs, nine RBI and one stolen base.

Sophomore Kaitlynne McCarthy took home pitcher of the week honors after tossing four complete game victories, including a five-inning no-hitter against Lehigh Carbon. McCarthy gave up 15 hits and only four earned runs while striking out 25 batters in 22 innings. She recorded a 1.59 ERA on the week.
