MIDDLESEX COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL KICKS OFF 2025 WITH WIN OVER ORANGE CC

Alyssa Rice scored a game high 21 points and Kezia Feaster has 12 points off the bench as Middlesex College started 2025 with a 50-43 win over Orange CC.

The win boosted the Colts record to 6-8 on the season.

Middlesex got off to a strong start, outscoring Orange 12-2 in the first quarter on the way to building a 21-13 halftime lead.

Orange came back strong in the second half though, outscoring Middlesex 20-16 in the third quarter to cut the Middlesex lead to 35-33 going into the fourth quarter.

However, the Colts were able to recover defensively and held Orange to just 10 fourth quarter points on the way to a seven-point win.

Genilah Singleton (Freshman/Edison, NJ) and Angelina Peralta-Almonte (Sophomore/Plainfield, NJ) each added seven points for Middlesex in the win. Peralta-Almonte also paced the Colts with nine rebounds. Julianne Reyes (Sophomore/Woodbrodge, NJ) added three assists and two steals off the bench.

Middlesex continues their push for the postseason on Saturday when they host Salem CC. Tipoff is slated for 12:00PM.
