HUDSON LEADS MIDDLESEX COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PAST DELAWARE TECH 61-50
Daziya Hudson scored 18 points off the bench and Na'Dirah Evans grabbed 11 rebounds as Middlesex College Women's Basketball beat visiting Delaware Tech CC 61-50 in a key Region 19 matchup.
The win avenged an early season loss to Delaware Tech and could prove to be a pivotal victory as the Colts look to make a push for the postseason.
Middlesex (8-14) fell behind Delaware Tech after the first quarter, but were bolstered by an outstanding second quarter in which they outscored Delaware Tech 20-6. Middlesex carried a 28-20 lead into the half and maintained it through most of the second half.
Middlesex outscored Delaware Tech 33-30 in the second half as they maintained a double-digit lead for most of the half.
In addition to her 18 points, Hudson added 8 rebounds and 7 assists in a fantastic all-around effort.
Genilah Singleton (Sophomore/Edison, NJ) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals for the Colts in just 24 minutes of play while Jaylah Boyd pulled in 10 rebounds and scored 8 points.
Middlesex is scheduled to return to the court on Saturday when they host Lackawanna for a 1:00PM game.
