BARTKO, PELLEI LEAD MIDDLESEX VOLLEYBALL TO SWEEP OF BERGEN
Kelly Bartko continued to fill in well for an injured Emi Thai as she registered 20 digs and Adrianna Pellei had 15 service points as Middlesex College swept Bergen Community College in three sets.
The Colts won by scores of 25-20, 25-21 and 25-16.
Head Coach Henry Romero contiuned to juggle his lineup as the team continues to deal with the loss of Thai.
"The team felt a little more comfortable on the court in today's match," said Romero. "We ran this lineup Monday for the first time and we knew it was going to be an adjustment. It's a matter of finding a new rhythm with the lineup we're using now."
Kilanny Ramos-Adrian (Freshman/Sophomore, Perth Amboy, NJ) had 22 assists, 11 digs and seven service points and Isabelle Shields (Freshman/Old Bridge, NJ) had six kills and 13 digs.
Johanna Kovalewich added ten service points, 12 kills and nine digs ina well-balanced effort.
Middlesex (7-4) had just four regular season games remaining and will be back in action next week when they travel to Raritan Valley College for a 7:00PM start.
